The Super Goose Story
Super Goose Studios takes its name from owner-Derek's Blue and Gold Macaw, Goose who is a constant reminder that beauty often lives just beyond the ordinary. Much like its namesake, the studio embraces character, intelligence, and individuality. It was founded on a simple but powerful idea: the objects we invite into our spaces should do more than serve a function. They should spark curiosity, reflect personality, and create a lasting connection.
Guided by Derek’s background as a magician and mentalist, Super Goose Studios is rooted in the art of evoking emotion and crafting memorable experiences. Each piece is approached with both imagination and discipline, balancing the unusual with the practical to create work that feels quietly extraordinary. The goal is not simply to build furniture or functional objects, but to create pieces that people are drawn to. Pieces that tell a story, invite conversation, and remain meaningful for years to come.

Derek Wahdan- Owner, Designer, Builder
Derek has long been guided by a fascination with how people experience the world around them. What captures attention, what evokes emotion, and what ultimately leaves a lasting impression. Early in his professional life, he performed as a mentalist, developing a refined understanding of perception, detail, and human connection. That chapter shaped more than a skillset; it cultivated an enduring sensitivity to the unseen elements that transform something ordinary into something unforgettable.

At his core, Derek is a builder, drawn to the quiet discipline of creating with intention and care. His path has never been confined to a single lane, instead reflecting a natural curiosity and a commitment to mastery wherever his focus rests. Experiences spanning live production, hospitality, performance, and hands-on craftsmanship have instilled in him a steady presence, a solutions-oriented mindset, and an unwavering respect for doing things properly.

Away from his professional pursuits, Derek remains grounded in the people and passions that matter most. He values a life built with intention, finds joy in caring for his birds, and looks toward the future with a clear sense of direction. Continually shaping a life defined not by chance, but by design.
Above all, Derek believes that the most meaningful things; objects, experiences, or relationships; are those crafted with purpose and meant to endure.
